Winter 2015 Jouer Le Matchbox Review

Time for a review of my favorite subscription box! For those of you that don’t know about this box, last spring the cosmetics company Jouer launched their first box of this kind. When you sign up, you fill out a survey that helps to determine your undertones (warm vs cool), and every season you are sent 3-4 full size products that suit your tones. This is the first sub I’ve seen that actually tailors the colors in the box to your undertones and so far, I’m really loving it! You can read my review on the first box here. Keep reading to find out what we received for winter!

Liquid Shimmer Eyeliner (RV $22): I received this in Mink, a shimmering rich taupe which is a stunning color. I used it immediately and it went into my travel bag for the holidays! I used it along my upper lash line and it was subtle but a nice hint of color when I blinked. It didn’t apply as evenly as I hoped, but once I got use to the application it really was very nice.

Long-Wear Creme Mousse Eyeshadow (RV $30): I think I’m going to get rid of all my powder eyeshadows and just use cream ones. I love how easily they apply and how easy they are to blend. This one is no exception and it comes in an array of beautiful colors. I got mine in the color Celestial which is a great subtle, every day color.

Moisturizing Lip Gloss (RV $22): I am actually not a fan of lip glosses, but I love everything else Jouer has put out, so I’ll give this a try.

$15 Gift card (RV $15): I know some people don’t like getting gift cards in subscription boxes, but I’m actually kind of glad to get this. I am slowly converting my entire collection to Jouer, so it’s nice to get a little break on things I will be buying anyway.

Makeup bag (RV $12): This is a cute gold makeup bag that I’m sure I’ll find some use for.

Once again, this box was a total winner. The retail value is $101 which is more than worth the $45 I paid for it. Plus, once again, these are products I’m excited to use.
