Lip products may be my favorite thing in my makeup collection because they are by far the easiest way to switch up your makeup look. They are so easy to use and the colors and formulations are endless. I’m normally a nude lip kind of girl, but in the warm summer months, I love wearing brighter lip shades. See below for my current lip product arsenal.
Manna Kadar Lip Locked, Manna Babe. Lip Locked is a primer, stain and gloss all in one which I adore because I love multi-tasking and streamlining my makeup application. Manna Babe, a creamy magenta, looks a bit intimidating and too bright in the tube, but once applied, it takes on a deep berry color, which happens to be a favorite look of mine. Lip Locked leaves lips perfectly moisturized, just the right amount of glossiness and no stickiness.
Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick, Angelic Nude. This lipstick is the perfect lipstick for someone like me who hates the drying affects of most lipsticks. This is really moisturizing and Angelic Nude is a great ‘your lips but better’ color.
Jouer Hydrating Lipstick, Lana. Similar to the Tarte lipstick, this lipstick is moisturizing so it doesn’t cause your lips to chap and peel (gross, I know, but that is why lipsticks and I don’t get along). I want to love red lipsticks, but I’m still intimidated so I used the tool on the birchbox website to find the perfect red for my coloring and was matched with Lana. On me, it is definitely more of a rosy-pink than red, but that is right up my alley. Out of all my lip products, this is the one that gets used the most.
Tarte LipSurgence, Exposed. I am a tad obsessed with these lip tints. I remember the very first lipsurgence I got was in the color Amused (very bright pink) from one of my first birchboxes years ago. The color scared me, but I gave it a try anyway and soon after, I was buying a holiday set with 5 full size lip tints, and the following year I bought a holiday set with 10 mini lip tints! I love these tints because they are truly a tint, which means you can apply them without a mirror. They’re also moisturizing and leave your lips feeling soft. These are my go-to lip products and I always have at least one in my bag.
