This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own
I think shoes are the best accessories because it is such a simple way to change up an outfit. However, since I am on my feet all day running around the lab, I can’t afford to wear shoes that are uncomfortable, so I often wear my comfiest sneakers to lab. Therefore, I was thrilled when BrandBacker sent me these Soles Patches for review.
Sole Patches are cushion stickers that can be used in 1 of 2 ways: they can be put onto the ball or heel of your foot, or for a more permanent fix, they can be added directly onto your shoe. Either way, they are meant to provide extra cushion and therefore prevent your feed from being in pain! They are made from PORON®, which has super shock-absorbing properties to cushion your feet every step of the way.
I haven’t tried sticking them directly onto my feet for two reasons: 1) I prefer a more permanent fix. If my shoes are uncomfortable enough to have to use these once, they will probably be uncomfortable every time I use them and 2) I don’t like the idea of sticking something to my feet because I can’t imagine the adhesive will actually last all day. Although other reviews say otherwise, I decided not to test that.
So did they work? I used them on a pair of high heels that are higher than my preferred height, that usually case the balls of my feet pain. I found that using these definitely helps in the short term, but for long term use, or lots of walking, they don’t help as much. If you will only be wearing the uncomfortable shoes for a few hours at a time, definitely give these a shot!
