Radha Beauty’s Skin Clearing Serum Review

Radha Beauty

*This product was sent to me in exchange for an honest review*

Radha Beauty is relatively new natural skincare line that was started in 2014. They use high quality and natural ingredients to create oils and skincare that are not only good for your skin and the environment too. I haven’t really jumped on the natural ingredient wagon yet, but I do appreciate not adding more harmful ingredients into the environment.

I have only used this a few times, so this will just be my initial thoughts on the product without any insight into the long term effects. I will write a follow-up post once I’ve had more time to test it.

The product I was sent from Radha Beauty is their Age-Defying Skin Clearing Serum. This serum claims to clear skin and prevent aging using all natural ingredients including Vitamin C, Retinol, Salicylic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Rosehip and Lavender Oil. I’ll be honest that I haven’t read up much about these ingredients. However, I have heard from an MD that Vitamin C doesn’t actually penetrate the skin, so it doesn’t actually do anything unless it’s delivered in a special formulation which hasn’t been FDA approved yet. There are tons of very popular brands that have vitamin C in their ingredient list, so I’m not sure if it’s just a scam, or they really do have some way of penetrating the skin. With that said, this product has other intersting and promising ingrdients even if the vitamin C doesn’t work 🙂

Right off the bat I was surprised by how thin the product was. I was expecting it be like other serums I’ve used- more like a think cream. However, it is more like a thick oil so at my first pump I got way more product than I needed. Since then, I’ve been careful when dispensing so that I don’t waste product.

As I’ve said I’ve only used this a handful of times. It absorbs quickly into the skin which I love- I hate having to wait before moving on to the next stage of my routine. I’ve only been using this at night and I’ve been putting a moisturizer on over because my skin is really dry right now. I wake up to my skin feeling extremely smooth and maybe having a bit of a glow? Hard to say after so few uses, but I do really like it so far and am excited to share my thoughts after I’ve used it for a month!
