My April Play! box came a few days after I got home from my trip, and I was so happy to open it up! If possible, I think this box is even better than last months. The box contained two make up items, three skincare items, and one perfume. I love at the box contained a variety of products, and the color products are colors that will work for most skin coloring.
Milk is a newer brand that has been popping up a lot in the past couple months. For instance Birchbox featured it in their boxes last month. The Milk Sunshine Oil is an oil that can be used on your elbows, cuticles, hair, face or anywhere really that needs hydration. This oil has a citrus scent smells amazing and I can’t wait to use it.
This Nars lip pencil was the soup for birthday gift a few years ago in the nude Rikugien color. Even though I already have 2 (!!) of these, I’m really happy to receive another one because it’s one of my favorite colors to use year-round. It’s a my-lips-but-better color because that is a little more rosy than my other MLBB colors. And this is a satin finish so it doesn’t leave your lips overly dry.
The other make up color we got was the Sephora colorful cheek ink gel in the color Peony. The color looks bright pink based on the packaging, which is a little daunting as I don’t like bright blush. I haven’t use this yet but reviews say it is quite sheer which I’m actually happy about since I prefer sheer, no-makeup makeup looks in the summer.
I’m really trying to be better about using eye creams so I was really excited to see this Clinique pep-start eye cream in the box this month. This hydrating and brightening eye cream refreshes the under eye, making them look more awake. Apparently this is a product in the new skincare line from Clinique, so I’m really excited to see what other products they come out with.
I was so happy to see we were getting Sunday Riley good genes treatment in the box this month. I have been using another sample I received from limited a edition box Birchbox and I love the way my skin looks. My skin is brighter and my complexion is more even after use. My sample was running out and I wasn’t quite ready to spend $100 on the full-size product, so this came at the perfect time. This products brightens and exfoliates while reducing the look of fine lines, and from my experience it really does what it claims to do.
Lastly we received the 2AM Kiss perfume from Derek Lam 10 Crosby. This perfume is different than what most subscription boxes give as it’s a musky, amber scent. I don’t love receiving perfumes since I already have a large perfume collection, however, the description of this scent is intriguing.
Altogether though, I am really happy with this box. I think it is a great mix of skincare and makeup, and includes some nice high-end products. I’m so happy I was finally taken off the waitlist and I can’t wait to see what comes in the future boxes.
