With the start of 2017, I want to really focus on using more products from my ever growing stash. I have also recently changed some medications which is causing some serious problems with my skin, I am getting bumps everywhere and also breaking out constantly. Therefore, in addition to using up some products, I would love to find a new skincare routine that helps with my new skincare issues.
The only non-skincare item I’m testing this month is the Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo. Amika problems smell amazing and the dry shampoo is no exception. This one is supposed to be great for dark hair because it doesn’t show up as a white powder.
The Sunday Riley Tidal Water Cream can be used in conjunction with the Good Genes treatment, which I adore, so I am excited to test this out. I have heard such great things about everything from Sunday Riley, so I’m happy to finally have an opportunity to test another product out. This cream is super hydrating while also containing ingredients to diminish hyperpigmentation and illuminate the complexion.
Nude Rescue Oil. I have been trying to incorporate oils into my skincare routine on a daily basis, so I am always looking for new ones. This must be an older one, since I can no longer find it online. This contains ingredients to help uncover a radiant complexion, which I am in desperate need of.
I actually used the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence before, and I really liked it. it was recommended to sprinkle some into the palm of your hands and press your hands into your face/neck until the essence was absorbed. I tried this initially, but with the semi-wide bottle opening, I found this to be way to wasteful. Instead, I added some to a cotton pad and applied it to my face in the same way I apply toner: starting on the middle of my face and working my way out. The essence is unscented, and didn’t leave my face feeling sticky. It was very soothing and left my skin looking more even.
