New in Beauty: Spring 2017

I had so much fun shopping my stash this season. I wanted to focus on skincare, specifically products to help with my dry skin. I picked the following four products to use for the next few months.

Caudalie Eau de Beuate

I’ve actually received a few of these in various Sephora Favorites kits, but it wasn’t until recently that I actually put this item to the test. This Beauty Elixir claims to be a do-all: sets makeup, provides instant radiance, and tightens pores. I’m wary of any product that has so many claims, so I chose to use this only for the instant radiance, when I am in need of a pick-me-up.

Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm

I hate it, but as I get older, I have definitely started to notice an increase in wrinkles around my eyes. I figure the most important thing I can do about that is start using eye creams that help reduce the appearance of fine lines, which is where this eye balm comes in. An added bonus is that this diminished the appearance of puffiness and dark circles- two things I have been noticing more and more lately!

Nuxe Nuxellence Jeunesse

I have a slight obsession with all things French skincare, so of course I had to sample this product. This is a serum that smooths wrinkles even complexions and improves circulation to give dewy, youthful skin. Depending on your skintype you can use it alone (normal or combo skin) or layered underneath moisturizer (dry skin), and can be used morning and night. I like to keep my skincare super simple during the day, so I have been using this under my moisturizer at night a few times a week. It is lightweight and instantly absorbs into the sin, and I really do wake up with a glow. I love this product and would definitely consider shelling out $75 for the full size.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

I originally bought this mask to help in the Boston winters, but I’m loving it just as much now. It is extremely easy to use- simply add to clean skin, gently massage until absorbed, go to sleep and wake to a soft, dewy glow. It is lightweight, so it really does absorb into your skin which means it doesn’t get all over your sheets and pillows. However, it is a bit sticky, so I find using less helps with that. I’ve read reviews of people using this as a nighttime moisturizer, but I have been using it every other day and I really do wake up to plump skin.
