I cannot believe it’s June already. Between my birthday, a conference, and a wedding, May really flew by! Once again, I made a conscious effort to use up my items, and I’m proud to say not only did I get through some deluxe samples, but I also finished up 4 (!!) full size items!
Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover. I love this nail polish remover- it removes nail polish so well and doesn’t have a strong acetone scent. I also like the dispenser of this bottle which makes it easy to dispense just the right amount of remover. I’m bummed because this is no longer sold on the Birchbox site, so I don’t know where to buy it anymore.
Yes To Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash. I got this during the Yes To $2 Black Friday Sale last year (or was it the year before that…?). Either way, this was a great deal as it’s huge and lasted FOREVER. It’s a great body wash, but I was using it for so long that I got really tired of it and was glad to be done.
Yes To Cucumbers Gentle Milk Cleanser. This is another product I got from the Black Friday Sale. I liked how gentle this face wash was, and used it regularly. I especially liked to use it with my Foreo Luna Mini.
Yes to Cucumbers Towelettes. Again with the wipes. I am obsessed with wipes, and the Yes To ones are my favorite. I only have one pack in my stash now, so if you have found something better then these, please share!
Coola Mineral Sunscreen. I’m very careful to use SPF every day, especially now that the sun is finally out and shining! For my face, I prefer to use tinted moisturizers or foundations with sunscreen. This mineral sunscreen/bb cream provided decent coverage as well as SPF.
Laura Mercier Full Blown Mascara. I don’t know if this mini was dried out or what, but I wasn’t impressed. I could barely notice it on my lashes so it didn’t really do much for them. Oh well, I have an abundance of mascaras so I didn’t feel guilty tossing this one after a few weeks.
Clinique High Impact Mascara. Now this one I really liked! It defined and darkened my lashes without clumping, which is hard to do! I’ve already added this one to my wishlist for when I get through my stash of mini mascaras.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment, Rose. I got this in the Sephora Birthday gift a few years ago, and immediately traded for more. I keep these in my purse, my desk drawer, my nightstand- you name it! I actually think this is one of the last ones I had so I have to invest in a few full sizes. I love this lip balm because not only does it smell amazing, but it’s very moisturizing and leaves the lips with a touch of color.
Le Metier de Beaute Lash Growth Serum. When I got this in my VIP box last year sometime, I thought it was a stupid gimmicky thing. Maybe it is, but I think it actually worked. I used it on my lashes, and I started to see ectopic hair growth! I tried it on my brows but must not have been as consistent because I didn’t see extra growth.
La Fresh Nail Polish Wipes. Once I ran out of the Zoya, I was lucky I still had some of these wipes around for when I needed a quick polish change. I love these wipes because they have a citrus scent and one wipe is really enough for all ten fingers (or toes). I always keep one of these in my travel bag for when my polish chips on vacation.
Koh Gen Do Cotton Pads. I don’t know if these are worth the extra money compared to regular cotton pads, but I am enjoying using them. I got a pack of 3 as a sample, and cut each one into quarters to get a little more bang for my buck.
TanTowel Self Tanning Towelette. I know how bad the sun is for your skin (I really know, I study melanoma!), but I also know I don’t like being pale..so I use these wipes, and lotions, to fake tan. I’m of medium complexion, so luckily I never have to fear having orange skin. These wipes don’t deposit a lot of color, just enough to look like I spent the day at the pool.
How did you do with empties this month?
