Le Metier de Beaute May & June 2015 Unboxing

I’m a little behind in my reviews of the Le Metier de Beaute VIP service. If you  aren’t familiar with this subscription box, it’s from the high-end brand, Le Metier de Beaute. I believe they are best known for their kaleidoscopes and the method couches de couleurs of layering the colors upon application. This sub is different than most in that you pay $350 upfront in July for the next 12 months, which comes out to about $30 per box. Each month, we receive at least one full size product, and usually we get 2-3 products. The individual products cost $25 for lipgloss all the way to $125 for skincare, so you definitely get your money’s worth with this box!

In May, we received the Sexy Eyes eyeshadow palette (can’t find it sold anywhere, but rumor has it that this was a GWP a few months back under the name “Galore”), which contains 18 small pans in all the colors of the rainbow. Seriously, every color. The pans in this are significantly small than the ones that one in the kaleidoscopes, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing as the kaleidoscope pans are huge and I’m pretty sure I will never finish one.  The palette itself is all black and very sleek, which a large mirror. One thing that bothers me is that there are no names listed- how to I purchase a color that I can’t live without??

I now have enough eye shadows from LMdB to know that I love their formulas and staying power, so getting this palette is great. However, I don’t like bright colors, so for me this won’t get much use. In fact, I didn’t even swatch the colors because I plan on gifting or selling this. :Sigh: I was really hoping to love this month.

This month, we finally got skincare again- yay! I feel like every month this year, we’ve gotten some kind of cosmetic item. Don’t get me wrong, I love cosmetics, but part of what drew me in to the LMdB subscription was the chance to try their high-end cosmetics and skincare. I really love skincare and I saw this as a chance to try something I wouldn’t normally be able to afford. This month we got the Instant Line Perfecting Serum (again, I can’t find this for sale anywhere, maybe it hasn’t been released yet?), which is said to “tighten and firm the skin, visibly smoothing the skin right in front of your eyes”.

I have a thing for eye creams, and since turing 28 last month, have decided I really need to step up my preventative care routine. Therefore, this product is perfect for me! I haven’t used it yet (just got it yesterday), but I put a bit on my hand and was surprised this isn’t actually a cream but more like a gel. I can’t wait to add this to my routine and hope it makes good on it’s promises of tightening and firming!

What do you think of the past two LMdB boxes? Did you sign up for the next year? You can sign up here if you’re interested.
