Infallible Paints Eye Shadow Review

PR sample from L’oreal. All opinions are my own.

I was really looking forward to testing the new Loreal Infallible Paints Eyeshadows since I never spend more than 5 minutes in the morning doing my makeup, so these seemed perfect for my on-the-go lifestyle. I received this in the color “Cool Ivory” which has two shimmery shades: one is an ivory, almost white color while the other is a champagne. Unfortunately, I don’t think the color works very well for me since they both appear almost white on my medium skin.

The shadows are easy to apply because they are very creamy. However, since they are so creamy, the wand has much more product that you actually need per application, so be sure to remove the excess before applying.  Since they are so creamy, you need to be sure to blend it out really well before it dries to have an even application.

My biggest complaint is that the shadow started to fade as the day went on, so I had patches of color on my lids. After a few hours, the shadow had started to fade which left my eyelids looking patchy. It’s a fine eyeshadow, but I wouldn’t recommend it for all day wear. If all you need is a quick swipe of color for a few, hours then this product is for you. However, if you want all day color that stays put, you’re better off trying something else.
