I love a good highlighter. I think highlighter is such an easy step in your makeup routine, but it really makes a huge difference. Just one swipe my skin instantly looks radiant, and I look more awake, no matter how much sleep I’ve gotten. Out of all the products I own, highlighter is the one I have the least number of- only 4. But each one will last a very very long time as you need just the teeniest bit.

Catrice Loose Moisturizing Highlighter: I was fortunate to receive this lovely loose highlighter from an international swap (sidenote- international beauty swaps are my favorite thing! If you’re every interested in swapping with a US beauty addict, I’m your girl!). This powder is really finely milled and gives a beautiful sheen. It looks pink in the tub, but once on, it actually imparts the most beautiful sheen.

Laura Gellar Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator, Gilded Honey: This caramel honey highlighter creates a translucent wash of luminous color that gives a lit from within glow. This is a powder that feels like a cream, making it very blendable and buildable. The caramel honey color is a perfect color on my medium skintone.

The Balm Mary Lou Luminizer: When I took this photo, I discovered my precious Mary Lou is broken! This obviously won’t affect the functionality of it, but it will make it a bit messier to travel with no. No worries, I have 3 other great highlighters! This highlighter is described as a honey-hued luminizer which is a very accurate description.  One swipe  of this on my cheekbones and instantly my skin looks younger and brighter which makes me  appear more awake. Yes it is shimmery, but as long as you are conservative with it, that won’t be a problem.

Beauty for Real Blush & Glo, Hi-Beam: This is my current favorite highlighter because it is so easy to apply and travel with, and also I prefer cream products in the summer. This highlighter (and the accompanying blush) have a consistency that makes them very easy to build up so your application can be as sheer or opaque as you want.

  • Totally understand, I loved doing swaps but these days time and money are limited so I have to pause a few years I guess *lol* And haven’t tried any of your highlighters but am 100% in love with my Illamasqua beyond powder in ‘OMG’ <3

  • Love Catrice as a brand. Their packaging, although plastic, seems very chic..
